So we didn’t do much this weekend except play around the house while M got some much needed work done. Potty training is going into high gear and is NOT appreciated by the subject of our experiments.
I tried teaching Roan how to pray Saturday night by starting with “Dear God”, but he kept saying “Oh Dear God”, which was cracking me up and I had to stop.
M and Faith went to see HS Musical 3 and ended up getting free passes to another movie ’cause the sound was so bad. Sound, that’s kind of a requirement for a musical.
Roan has discovered the joys of hotwheels racetracks. Unfortunately he’s also discovered that his finger fits nicely up his nose, making daddy not that interested in sharing hotwheels cars. Boxes of tissue have now been strategically dropped around the house at toddler level and a no-nose-pickin’ dictum issued.
Faith had her friend Skyler over and decided to start a rock band. Their version of girl rock anger seems to be mostly directed at daddy for refusing to make popcorn. How quickly they turn on you…..
Faith drew pictures of herself with pierced ears, like one of her friends. When M pointed out that pierced ears “were not gonna happen” daddy foolishly chimed in that “gramma doesn’t have pierced ears and she wears earrings all the time – she’s got tons of them!” Thereby putting a big bullseye on my own mother’s back. Sometimes she’s really sweet, but other times, Faith has flashes of Bond-villianny.
